Ok umm how about I write a little something about how I took this pic. Just in case anyone is interested....
So I had the sun shining right through my bedroom window which made for excellent lighting. I decided to sit on my bed with my back to the window and put a dark blanket on my bed (the rest of my room was rather dark which helped create the dark backdrop). I was holding the flowers in my hand BUT noticed you would see it. So... instead of having to edit the pic later to get rid of my hand, I just grabbed a black top of mine, put it over my hand and held the flowers
I had to make sure I didn't have any unwanted shadows on the flowers, which was fairly easy though as the sun stood pretty high and shone right on the flowers. Took the pic in AUTO mode with the focus on the flowers obviously which helped bring out the subject and create a very dark background, uploaded the pic into Photoshop7, cropped it, slight level adjustment to boost the black and the colors, sharpened, text added, done.
