Did you know it's deviantART's 8th birthday this Thursday, August 7th?
That's right. And what better way to celebrate it than with a vexel contest!!
About the Contest
As the title of the contest suggests, it all revolves around the number
eight.

I ask you to create a vexel with no more or less than
EIGHT layers. That also means no more or less than
EIGHT colours. I know you all wanted to trick me and thought you could put several colours on one layer. Not gonna happen!

What to vexel, you ask? Well, in celebration of dA's birthday I was thinking the following. The theme of your vexel should be related to
- deviantART AND/OR
- birthday AND/OR
- party AND/OR
- anything to do with the number eight

Feel free to use deviantART stock, but be sure to list/credit stock according to the providers' terms. You may also freehand your entry.

It must be a new deviation, created for this contest and submitted to your gallery after August 6th, 2008.

You may enter as many times as you like, but you can only win once.

VEXELS ONLY - NO PHOTOS, PHOTOMANIPULATIONS ETC.

We can use 8 colors in 8 layers. We are alowed to use gradients (not gradient mesh, cause that's in vector) but we're not allowed to set either one of the 8 layers opacity to anything else than 100% ...
Right?
Have fun, and best wishes to all your entrants!!
